When you first unroll your new rug, you may notice some creases, bunching, and folded corners in the pile. These waves will flatten within 2-3 weeks as you begin to use the rug regularly. To help the process, you can try a few techniques:

Back Rolling: Unroll the carpet, then roll it back up with the backside facing up. Let it sit in this position for a day or two, or until the creases have straightened out.

Heavy Objects: Place a heavy piece of furniture or other objects on the affected areas for a day or two, or until the rug flattens. If the corners are sticking up, curl them back and position heavy objects on those areas, facing the opposite direction.

Heat: As a last resort, you can try exposing the rug to direct sunlight. Lay it on a cleared concrete surface, such as a driveway or sidewalk, and allow it to absorb the sun's heat for up to two hours, or longer if needed.

Blow Dryer: If you don't have access to a large concrete area with optimal sunlight, you can try using a hair dryer on the affected areas. Flip the rug over and hold the hair dryer 7-12 inches away, using a medium setting and moving it side to side. Be cautious, as excessive heat can sometimes cause the rug's backing to melt.
